I already own 11 of these lipsticks and I can really say that the packaging is a lifesaver. In real life, L’Oréal is very good in making these plastic squares in colors that are very true to the actual lipstick. So even if they’re side by side, you can still tell by the plastic tile as to which shade is which. It’s relatively easy to look for what you’re looking for in a short amount of time. The signature of the celebrity on the packaging also helps so much because when I am rushing to get somewhere, simply knowing which celebrity made which shade is already enough because I just look for what I want based on the signature.

In photos, and when you look at it only and not use it, you will initially get the impression that this is a jellybean shade for flavors like strawberry or raspberry. It looks a bit translucent, or to really say it better, it looks “jellybean” like in real life, but in the whole collection, this is the only one that literally reflects the alternative name. This really looks fuchsia.

When you swatch it, the jellybean-ness disappears, and though it’s vibrant, it’s not thaaat vibrant.

This is how it looks like on the lips. So this, and all the other shades in the Color Riche collection, have the ability to be so buildable. You can use this as thinly as tint, or you can pile it on as thickly as you want to make it emulate the effect of a liquid lipstick. For this photo, I have it put on relatively thickly for it to be opaque enough, but not too thickly for it to behave as liquid lipstick altogether. In real life, (since you guys technically will not look at my lips like this), this goes on quite matte-ly.

This is yet another shade that helps to create an illusion of whiter teeth thanks to the purples and blues working in this shade.

On me, it’s a shade that looks really obvious. You really would be able to tell that I have a lippie on when I use this. This looks a lot like the classic pinks of L’Oréal, the kinds of pinks that a lot of shades were hinged on a decade ago. I wouldn’t say that this is outdated as the pink trend is only about to reboot itself after we already got over reds (remember when everyone was alll about red?) and more or less are about to be over super brownish mauves in due time. But what I can say is that this will be a nostalgic shade for many loyal L’Oréal users, and for those who buy just one lipstick at a time, I think this will be the perfect replacement lipstick if you’ve just used up a L’Oréal lipstick from awhile back.

I also forgot to say that this shade is a tiny bit metallic, which is why it didn’t end up being jellybean kind of sheer on my lips. It has a little bit more body to it. Liya herself has a very beautiful and creamy cocoa skintone, which is why this will look super good on medium and morena skintones.
According to Verna Marin, chief makeup artist of L’Oréal Paris Philippines, this will work best on medium skintones. According to Marilene Perez, writer of this blog, you need this and all the other shades in the collection because every shade is too pretty to not buy.
