So I tried out the two variants of AVON Advance Techniques. There’s Supreme Oils for severely damaged hair, and 360 Nourishment for normal to dry hair.

To be fair, the last time I colored my hair was waaay back in February, and since then I haven’t been doing anything crazy. To add, I got Xtenso Oleoshape last June so my hair is already infused with oils by the rebond. With this kind of history, for me, Supreme Oils was a bit too overnourishing already. But it’s just for someone like me. For anyone who gets hair dye every month or has bleached hair (which is almost everyone else right now), this is definitely what you need. If you will read the feedback online, people with bleached hair have worshipped this variant.

This is actually why under harsh lighting, my hair color looks uneven. The roots are already my natural color. The hair up to my chin is unbleached hair, and then the hair below that was bleached 2 years ago. I didn’t want to keep on recoloring since the bleached part will not absorb the color anyways, so I left it this way. I’ll probably recolor it to black or near black a few months from now perhaps.

Supreme Oils smells like what we expect from a haircare product infused with five precious oils. I was nervous that their 360 Nourishment variant would be too overnourishing due to having Moroccan Argan oil, but to my surprise, it was perfect! My hair was at that perfect state of being shiny and bouncy all day long. In spite of having a lightweight feel, my hair was still soft at the end of the day. Usually, that’s the stress point. If I use haircare that’s too nourishing, my hair will be greasy at the end of the day. But if I use haircare that’s too lightweight, my hair becomes rough at the end of the day. Having hair that’s shiny, bouncy, and soft at the end of a long day is what’s tricky.

This is why I am so glad to finally find a product that lets me achieve my desired hair state everyday.
