As promised, here are the swatches! ICYMI, I did a post about the event done by BLK Cosmetics for their K-Drama collection launch. They had so many new exciting releases for this collection, and since there were so many new shades, so I thought I’d do this separate post. For reference, in the photo above, I am wearing the soft lip mousse in Plum Blossom and the cheek paint in Daffodil. So yeah now you know. And here are the swatches!
Their Soft Matte Mousse (Php379 each) came in a very mauve-ey installment for this collection. Versus so many other lip mousses and liquid lipsticks, this is among the least drying, most comfortable, and least flaky on the lips. I am so glad that they have expanded it to have many Pinay friendly shades. The only “close cousin” is Booyah from the 90’s collection soft mousse, which looks really similar to Plum Blossom from this collection.

ICYMI, they revamped their tints and doubled the size for just Php50 increase! Their Giant All Day Lip and Cheek Water Tints (Php299). The tubes are sooo big now that it will take anybody a reaaally long time to use one tube up.

They added in more shades to their Intense Color Liquid Eyeshadows (Php299), These babies are small but are so useful! If you also remember, when Shay Mitchell came over to promote You, Anne’s glam team used BLK Cosmetics liquid eyeshadow on her! It was among a really really long list of uber high end items, but I didn’t wonder much because this eyeshadow performs well.

If you happened to have seen me on BLK’s IG stories on the day of the launch, you may have seen me rave about the two toned All Day Intense Matte Lipsticks (Php359)! I have come to the realization that we really just don’t use up products before we need to toss them, so I have been leaning towards multi-item items like this one, or if an item comes in travel size. They have two releases for this.

Those who want to save space will definitely love BLK Sweet Lip Duo (Php379)! This small canister already houses a lip scrub and a tinted lip balm. Perfect for those who prefer to use small bags, and for those living in condos where every square inch counts. When the lids flipped open, this is how it looks like. The top lid is a mirror covering the balm, while the balm’s bottom is covering the lip scrub.

The most coveted items are their new cheek paints! I only recently fell in love with BLK’s cheek paints, as the pigments were initially too overwhelming for me. Once I got the hang of using them, gosh, they look so natural and dewy but last alllll day long. This new Creamy All-Over Paint (Php399) comes in two new shades, and if the first release was about pure peach and pink, this is more about a natural finish or drunk blush finish with the clay toned shades.

This is Peony (dusty rose). This I think is perfect for Pinay skintones as it’s cheery but there is a depth into it that it won’t end up having a matryoshka doll effect on the wearer.

While this is Daffodil (deep peach). This is among the hardest to find in this collection because it looks too good!!!

Last but not the least is the Dream Skin Perfector BB Cream (Php449)! This is a very interesting product because it’s color adapting. Fresh off the tube, it’s white.

Before you know it, it’s already ‘disappeared’ and blended in! I personally have yet to try this product for one whole day to see how it will oxidize and behave, but I think that for online shopping, it’s so easy that customers only need to choose from light or medium instead of 10000 shades.
