BLK Cosmetics All-Day Lip and Cheek Tint (Pink) Review |
The brand has shown that they are all ears when it comes to consumer feedback. Initial feedback was that the tint was too small relative to the price they offered, which was Php249 for 2.15g. This newer relaunch of the tint, which was relaunched early last year, is Php299 but already a hefty 4.2g of product. I also pointed it out in my feature of their launch event that they increased the price by 50 but doubled the amount of product, adding more value for money to consumers. They also had orange shade back then, but they have seemed to discontinue it, and now we only have the more practical and play-safe shades remaining in the roster.
This is a very thin and runny water tint, which makes it intensely pigmented, but also truly transparent as well. It sets and dries into a very thin layer, but as it’s very runny and thin, care must be taken when blending it onto the cheeks to prevent uneven blotches from appearing. On the lips, it dries up pretty easily, making it quite convenient to use, especially when one is in a rush.
As it’s transparent, it will not be able to conceal dry patches on the lips, but the coloration is so intense that it will be able to tint over lip discolorations. It also has the tendency to stick onto drier patches and leave uneven patches on the lips when used alone (without primer or balm). This is why I preefer to use this with a lip balm. It’s so intensely colored anyways that even if I add in lip balm, the color still stays really intense.
The color pigmentation is really intense, but miraculously buildable. I was initially worried that this tint was too intensely colored that it might be difficult to blend in or build up in color, but it proved to be pretty easy to layer and build up. In terms of color payoff, what you see in the tube is bound to be a bit lighter, as it looks like a dark vampy color in the tube. The shades are bright and cheerful once applied. This will gradually fade slowly if you do nothing, and will not transfer onto mugs. But if you are going to work out or eat an oily meal, it’s likely to fade and remain on the dry patches of the lips, so you’ll need to bring this with you for retouches if you really want it to be at 100% intensity all day. But since it’s already pigmented and vivid to begin with, it does fade into a nice faint pink, so if you’re not so obsessed about intensity, you can leave this the entire day as it is.
A deep fuchsia pink shade.

I also like tint that are in water form so it won't be that sticky but it's good that it dries up easily as it may run to other places it shouldn't be haha
