Peach C Peach Holiday Tint (Rose Beige) Review |
Peach C Holiday Tint promises to give smooth and soft lips with a moist texture, in juicy lip colors, reminiscent of a tropical getaway. This review is for the shade Rose Beige.
The texture is unlike other mousse lip tints I own, as it’s very moist. It doesn’t go on with a velvety, but instead has a feel that’s slightly wet. It dries and sets and feels less wet, but the whipped texture of this tint really stands out. The whipped texture helps to make it feel lightweight on the lips and to help protect the lips from dryness, but it also takes time to set. It ultimately settles into a matte, velvety finish. During the time between application and until sorta sets, one should take care to not pucker up too much lest there can be empty patches on the lips while the product is still wet.
It’s generally not sticky as a lip product in general, but a little sticker than other Korean mousse tints which are very powdery. I do believe that the formulation has some sort of powder to make the finish matte, but in terms of feel, it doesn’t feel powdery nor heavy. While it becomes less moist on the lips, it still will move around a reasonable amount, but it will no longer transfer onto cups and straws as easily as when it was wet. When it has settled in, it’s mostly moist and comfortable, but for some reason, when freshly applied, there’s a mild sting, especially on dry patches. As someone who has dry patches all year round, even if I have lip balm on almost 24/7, this is a setback for me.
The colors are so vivid and bright, and it takes little effort to get this to 100% opacity. In terms of color payoff, this is more neon-like when freshly applied, then it slowly changes into a more mellow tone. As such, the swatches can’t be truly accurate as it seems to oxidize. As it’s so pigmented, it is able to conceal and blur discolorations on the lips, but due to the texture, this will work best on pre-treated lips with no dry patches. It transfers quite a lot when wet, but stays put when dry. If one is not going to eat with this on, it’ll last a reasonable amount of time. It will completely fade after a meal, so you’d really need to bring this with you for retouches.
