Silkygirl Matte Junkie Lipcolor is designed to be a kissproof and transfer-resistant lip color. It’s a creamy mousse that dries and sets into a lightweight matte finish. As is usual with Silkygirl, this comes in universally flattering shades for Asian skin tones. This is fragrance-free, not tested on animals, and also carmine-free. This review is for the shade 11-Terracotta.

Overall Feedback:

Silkygirl Matte Junkie Lipcolor is an ideal liquid lipstick for those who want something lightweight and with no sticky feel.

This is a creamy mousse liquid lipstick that dries and sets into a thin and lightweight matte finish. I like that there is no sticky feeling at all, and there is no hot and heavy feeling either. When it does dry, it feels powdery, so for those who are especially annoyed about stickiness, this is something you’ll like.

This doesn’t flake off like some liquid lipsticks might do, which is another plus. This is ideal for using under a mask as it dries relatively quickly and is not likely to smudge onto masks. It also doesn’t flake off, so it’s not likely to annoyingly leave flakes onto your mask. But like other liquid lipsticks, this works best on lips that have been pre-treated. It will highlight dry patches if there are any.

It’s generally comfortable enough for my very dry lips as it’s very lightweight. I usually feel like using lip balm when a liquid lipstick is too thick and cracky, but in this case, it’s not. However, since it goes on very thinly, it also doesn’t stay put for very long. If you will leave this alone, this can stay put for about 3-5 hours or so. But if you intend to eat or drink, you will most likely need to reapply this. In general, too, since it goes on so thinly, it will immediately be apparent once this starts fading, so you may need to bring this along with you to make sure that the color is up to standards all day.

Speaking of color, this has a good color payoff and pigmentation. This is not very prone to oxidation, so more or less the color on the tube is what will go onto your lips. The shade selection is also good, as the shades are mostly wearable and flattering for Asian skin tones.

At Php299 for 5.5mL, it’s more or less the usual price for the usual drugstore liquid lipstick.
