Finally, a new review after quite some time!!! I think (?) I’m slowly getting better (in terms of mental health), and I’ve also finished migrating my blog at last, so now it’s time to make reviews again. I think I’ll still be a bit slow with churning out reviews, but I’d like to think that progress is success. These new contact lenses from Olens are the upgraded version of their famous Russian lenses. The Russian lenses feature a bright light color, but this Russian smoky collection features a hazy ring to add drama and to increase the graphic diameter. This review is for Olens Russian Smoky in Gray.

As you can see, these lenses are very apt for dark eyes as my brown eyes become really bright and highlighted when I put these on. These are good at covering up dark colors without looking fake. I’m sure those with dark eyes can relate that there are a lot of lenses that don’t show up in phone selfies on dark eyes, so this is a great addition to Olens’ roster of lenses that show up on dark eyes even on poorly lit selfie settings.
These lenses are made with Olens’ breakthrough Puscon (phosphorylcholine) material, a hydrophilic and biocompatible material that is able to maintain high hydration levels and to allow breathability. This material means that the lenses are very comfortable even for use the entire day, and stay hydrated in most conditions. Personally, since I shoot with very harsh lighting, I use Olens’ Cushion Drop contact lens drops for added comfort. But if I didn’t need to be exposed to harsh lighting, the lenses are already very comfortable on their own. I only start “feeling” that the lenses are there after 8-9 hours of continuous wear.
