Nope, it’s not magic! But it’s sorta like that. I’m really fascinated by magnetic lashes like Luxx Lash because it snaps on in an instant and stays put relatively well. I was also surprised that magnetic lashes weren’t as heavy as I thought they’d be, and I didn’t feel the ‘weight’ on my eyelids with each blink. Luxx Lash sent their Lily lashes for me to try out and here are the photos!
PACKAGING
The package consists of an external box and the actual case of the lashes. I’m guessing that the outer box is there to protect the actual lash case from getting beat up during shipping.
APPLICATION
I found it really hard to apply the lashes by myself as I’ve had nail extensions since 2016. Thankfully, there is a Luxx Lash Lash Lock Applicator (Php289 each) to make the job easier. I’m also guessing that the learning curve for magnetic lashes is high, but once you do get the hang of it, it becomes like second nature. There are so many people who swear by magnetic lashes, so I think these are the people who took the time to get over the initial unfamiliarity with the usage methods. Or these are people who don’t do nail extensions hahaha. If you have long nails, by all means, please get these lash lock applicators!
LUXX LASH LILY (Php1799 per set)
This design is specifically made for that subtle Korean lash extension look and will work well for almond, hooded, and monolid eye shapes. The lash hairs are medium length combined in medium sparseness, for the kind of result wherein you look better but it’s not obvious what made you look better. This is perfect for those with online meetings all the time as it doesn’t look like you intentionally applied false eyelashes for your meeting, but somehow your eyes look awake and you look somehow prettier during the meeting!!! Don’t tell your boss I told you hehehe~~~
Luxx Lash has a lot of styles to choose from, so if you were looking for something more grand or dramatic, they have those, too. This particular style is more subtle to suit the daily needs of most people today. Heck, the only event I attended this entire year was my brother’s wedding in June! I’m part of probably a handful of people who do home photoshoots that I use false eyelashes relatively often, but for most other people, they’d probably use falsies for a special occasion only, and then they’d choose a very fluttery and dramatic style. As such, Lily fills up the gap and functions as a daily-use eyelash style since we mostly have no special occasions to use crazy eyelashes for at the present.
LuxxLash Lily Magnetic False Eyelashes Storage Box
This is me wearing the lashes! In the top photo of this post, which was taken from afar, the lashes blend in really well and actually look like just very well applied mascara. With a little zooming in, you can now see that it’s actually there. The nylon strip does shine in flash photography, so in this particular instance, it’s visible if you pay attention. So I’d say that if you’re looking for something that blends in very well in zoom flash photography, or for professional studio setups using macro lenses, this is not the type of lashes fit for the occasion. But if you’re planning to use this for webcam purposes for your online meetings, or for smartphone selfies, this will surely blend in and give a nice boost to your lashes!
Luxx Lash is available at Shopee.
