With COVID still ongoing, and monkeypox now also a growing threat, we really will be wearing masks for the foreseeable future. Mask mandates aren’t that enforced in real life, but in general, masks will be a mainstay for the next year or years. Hence the issue of maskne!!! I also get maskne and I still haven’t figured out what aspect of masks gives me maskne, which is why I feel that Seoul White’s Bye Bye Acne collection is potentially gonna be of great help to a lot of people out there. Here’s what they launched:
When I have a zit on my cheek, I like to use an acne patch so that at the very least it won’t worsen, or better, if it can shrink. I usually wear 5D masks these days, so I usually get maskne on the chin or on the side of my cheeks, as these parts are what the mask touches. Since I wear masks to the gym to workout, I guess the element of sweat also makes the bacteria worse. The nice thing about Seoul White Bye Bye Acne Acne Patch (Php49 for 6) is that they are sold in 6’s, so for those who don’t really need that many hydrocolloid patches or would just like to reserve them for major zits, there’s a cheaper option due to the small SKU. Most of the other pimple patches I see seem to be at Pho200 and above, so while those contain more patches per item, it helps to have easier-to-buy SKU’s in this inflationary economy.
Seoul White has a glow toner, but this time around, they released an acne-targeted Seoul White Bye Bye Acne Toner (Php269 for 150mL). This is the perfect concoction for those who want to tackle acne, as it has AHA BHA & PHA to exfoliate dead skin cells, Cica Extract to soothe the skin, Tea Tree Oil to help prevent blemishes and future breakouts, as well as Salicylic Acid to control oil production. I really like how more and more products have Cica Extract these days, as it’s Cica that I’ve found truly effective when I have pimples.
Seoul White believes that acne problems bother people not only when acne occurs on the face. There’s also backne, buttne, arm-ne, and chest-ne!!! Unbeknownst to a lot of people, backne usually occurs due to people not washing conditioner off their backs properly after washing it off their hair, but looking back, it can totally be hormonal. My brother had backne issues as a teen despite having short hair and not using conditioner, so it can really be overly active sebaceous glands. For those situations, they formulated their Seoul White Bye Bye Acne Pimple Fighting Soap (Php149 for 2x60g bars) to work well on both face and body. These bars are formulated with tea tree for blemish reduction, bio-sulfur for oil control, and niacinamide to lighten acne marks.
For those who want to try it out before hoarding, there’s also Bye Bye Acne Soap in singles (Php85 for 60g).
