I learned about modest swimsuits recently! Wow, apparently this is a thing! At present, we are heavily bombarded by sexy bikini photos on Instagram. When I browse swimsuit brands, it seems like the main goal is how to show even more skin and use even less fabric. I do have influencer friends who get tapped by a lot of swimsuit brands, but when I see the photos, I can already have quite an idea that the swimsuit only looks good for Instagram but may not be a functional swimsuit for actual swimming and water sports in real life. I personally enjoy swimming and snorkeling and wading when at the beach, so I prefer swimwear that is functional for actual water sports.
There’s also the scenario that not everyone has the desire to show off their physiques at the beach. Some people are looking to wear something modest due to religion. And then there’s my mom who has no religious requirements to be modest whatsoever but is really, really afraid of getting tan, so she would like to have as much skin covered as possible when at the beach.
People have different reasons for wanting something more modest and functional for swimwear, but it’s really difficult to find pieces that are stylish. From what I am hearing from modest swimwear enthusiasts, they don’t like the DIY effect of wearing leggings or cycling shorts with oversized shirts. It gives off the vibe that they aren’t in swimwear and decided to just wear their usual everyday outfit to swim. I’ve seen a lot of swimwear as of late with long sleeves, but indeed, it takes quite some research to find swim leggings or swim skorts, or hybridized swim leggings with a matching skirt and top.
After imagining all these scenarios that people go through, I realized how important modest swimwear is in society today. If every other company is trying to cover less and less, there’s also gotta be a company to cater to those who want to cover more and more. I was interested to find out that there’s a place called LYRA Swimwear ( https://lyraswimwear.com/ ) that specializes in this exact kind of swimwear.
Like look at these models!!! They look so comfortable!!! I can imagine them having the time of their lives at the beach without worrying about accidentally exposing too much skin. The entire black sportswear concept has been becoming trendy recently and these pieces can also be worn outside the context of the beach.
I found that LYRA Swimwear also has quite an extensive pastel color selection. As someone who really likes lavender and powder blue, I usually care if something comes in those two colors. I found out that they’re flexible with the way they sell their wares. Not everyone needs the entire sh’bam as some are not bound by religious requirements. You can buy these pieces as sets, as separates (leggings and skirts), and you can also get head coverings that match them. You can technically get a few skirts and a few tops and you already have quite a lot of mix and match options!
I’m always interested to learn about new things and more efficient products for today’s needs, so I’m glad I discovered Lyra Swimwear. I may not exactly be buying a set right now, but it’s great to keep in mind that there’s a high-coverage swimsuit brand made of high-quality UV blocking fabric which I think will come in handy now that the sun seems to be hotter as of late!
The importance of sexy swimwear lies in the personal preferences, self-expression, and confidence of the individuals who choose to wear it.
