ICYMI, I partnered with Dove Deos to run a giveaway on my Facebook page! I asked people to share their underarm stories because in my case, there’s not much to tell as I’ve been using Dove for many years. I find it a bit surprising to get a lot of compliments on my underarms, because all this time, I’ve just been dedicated to showering off deodorant at the end of the day and moisturizing the skin. I haven’t done any laser whitening or some specific treatment for lightening the underarms. I will be honest that I also have genetics to thank, but only for this and a few other instances, as I’m at risk of inheriting lots of health problems from my father’s side hahaha.
What I like about Dove is that the formulation is gentle enough that there has been no damage to my skin even after many years of use. The fragrances are always really good, and the scent also lasts through the day. Like with any other brand, my only issues with Dove Deos have been white shirt stains.
I’ve tried all of Dove’s deodorant formats except lotion. Personally, I prefer spray format the most as it’s the easiest for me to use. Deodorant sticks are also good. I shower at night and don’t shower in the mornings, so I don’t have enough time to let roll-on deodorants to dry.
There are a lot of Dove variants for deodorant spray, but the ones they’ve been promoting more heavily are from the DarkMarks Corrector range. This range has niacinamide (a skincare super ingredient) that is used to target fine lines and to even out the skin tone. There’s Fresh Lily and Soothing Jasmine variant for spray format for DarkMarks Corrector, and there’s also Powder Soft (not pictured) and each one is Php209.
As for stick formats, it’s the same for DarkMarks Corrector, and there’s Fresh Lily and Soothing Jasmine. The great thing about Dove is that since it has 1/4 moisturizing cream, it somehow offsets the friction damage caused by rubbing the stick on the underarms. Of course, the niacinamide also has a big role to play. For stick format, each one is 40g and is Php199 each.
As for roll-on, there’s the usual selection of Fresh Lily and Soothing Jasmine as well, but one key thing to note is that they have an Unscented (Php107 for 40mL) and Unscented Sensitive variant (Php117 for 40mL), though it’s not pictured in this post! There are a lot of people who have issues with scented products, and also some people who get skin damage with scented products, so the unscented variants make for a balanced product line.
