What if we could get a “no makeup makeup look” for our hair in just one minute? Thats what Dove’s new 1 Minute Serum Conditioner wishes to do. Just like how a skincare serum is lightweight but fast acting and potent for the skin, this new conditioner promises the same benefits, but for the hair of course. They set up a special Dove Lab center at the Mind Museum for a day for us to be able to experience the product and be immersed in the science that went behind it.

They had a lot of goodies set up for us to have a full Dove lab experience. Akin to the souvenir shop at a science museum, they had this laid out for us which I appreciated.

The new Dove 1 Minute Serum Conditioner comes in Nourishing Oil Care, Intense Repair, and Hair Fall Rescue+. They smell like Dove White bars which is why I love them so much! Other Dove conditioners have their own distinct fragrances, so I was really excited that these smell a lot like the bars.

Apples Aberin, Head of PR, is the host for the day. She is of course very excited as Dove Hair has just been officially in the Philippines since 2012 and already has achieved so much. The last major launch I an recall was their 2015 Oxygen and Nourishment launch, so this is indeed a big thing to be launching a whole new range in a whole new category.

Nicole Ty, Assistant Brand Manager, shared her own experiences of the struggle to have great hair. She only got her hair dyed recently, and soon after, she discovered how hard it was to keep your desired hair color maintained without suffering damage. It’s a vicious cycle of needing constantly dye over the roots and to retouch brassy and faded colors, to the point that one’s hair becomes so brittle. Nicole shared that at a certain point, she needed to go for a major hair resurrection session, spending hours (and lots of money) at a salon. She thought about how this situation can be much better. Women need not spend so much money and time at salons to make their hair shiny, soft, and free from damage.

Dove is of course the perfect brand to enter the daily treatment conditioner industry as it’s the number one in damage care. If there’s a brand that knows what to do with the fried hair of an urbanite, it’d have to be Dove.

Now what’s the science of this new product? Lovely and pretty R&D girls Chom and Ella explained the key pillars behind Dove 1 Minute Serum Conditioner. 
Chom explained that this is indeed very serum-like as this is powered by mini serum capsules as well as being fortified with cult favorite skincare ingredients. The range is fortified with almond oil, coconut oil, sunflower oil, argan oil, and vitamin E. They say the word ‘fortified’ because these oils are added to the existing Keratin Repair Actives of Dove that restore damaged hair.

The other thing Ella discussed is how potent this formulation is. This is jam packed with 50+% more conditioning ingredients that coat and protect hair when hair is most vulnerable to damage. The formulation is also luxuriously creamy that even visually, this looks potent.

The third pillar is that this is fast acting. You only need to use this for one minute, and you’d be able to reverse a year’s worth of (irresponsible over coloring and styling) damage! Just like how we apply serums to get visible results in a short amount of time, Dove 1 Minute Serum Conditioner also promises repaired and resilient hair in a short amount of time.

The variant I tried out is their Hair Fall Rescue+ variant. I asked them to use this one because my hair fall problem is quite bad! I need to vacuum my room almost every week because of all the stray hairs that scatter on the floor. I used to broom them, but they’d usually get stuck onto the broom, so I already leveled up the cleaning and used a vacuum. Hopefully, by leveling up to this conditioner for an extended period of time, I can finally vacuum less!

After trying out the conditioner, we were treated to a luxurious blowdry by the awesome stylists at Creations by Lourd Ramos salon!

My hair was bouncy, shiny, and fragrant after blowdrying! I really loved the look that the stylist did on me! I look like I’m about to usurp 3 haciendas in the afternoon and make it back just in time for teatime.

Ta da! I love how my hair was soft, shiny, and manageable, even at the end of the day. Given that my hair was put through XTenso Oleoshape (and it’s a rebond that essentially fortifies your hair with oils), I generally found this to be just right in nourishing my hair but not making it greasy. I generally need products that are lightweight but potent these days, and this is one of the products that I think will make its way to my go-to haircare list.

    Maganda talaga ang dove un lang cant afford ung price nya… etong dove serum conditioner need to ng mga hair dry lalo na ang hair ko.. ang dove shampoo din ay maganda every summer bumibili ako nito at pagmy sobra sa budget lalo na pra sa daughter ko kasi every summer ngsusugat ulo nya pero nitong last summer ng gumamit xa ng ng dove shampoo di na ngsusugat ulo nia…

    Ganda ng set up nila.
    The best talaga ang dove. Kasi ang damin nyang variant. Gusto ko ang dove kasi may pang baby din sila. Gamit ko ung dove mild soap sa baby ko. Tapos shampoo naman po sa akin.
